The teaching training department

The Teacher Training Department is part of the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Cluj-Napoca, its purpose being to provide initial training and continuous instructional improvement of teachers during undergraduate and postgraduate instruction.

The purpose of the activity of the TTD is to create a challenging environment for training by providing flexible and diversified courses and seminaries in respect to the informational input.

The TTD promotes pedagogical research activities based on its own projects or in collaboration with other national and international institutional partners.

The university graduates have the opportunity to join the education department provided they take and pass the psycho-pedagogical study program. The certification required for the teaching profession may be acquired for two levels, in compliance with Order No 5745 / 13.09.2012 of the Ministry of Education.

  • Level I (Fundamental): grants the alumni the right to occupy educational positions in preschool, primary and middle education on condition to acquire minimum 30 transfer credits during the psycho-pedagogical study program;
  • Level II (Advanced): grants the alumni the right to occupy educational positions in secondary, post-secondary and academic education on condition to acquire minimum 60 transfer credits during the psycho-pedagogical study program;
  • Methodology regarding the organization and functioning of the Psycho-pedagogical Training programs of the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Cluj-Napoca

The TTP provides the following study programs:

The psycho-pedagogical study program for the Educational Profession Level I and Level II certification by:

  • Academic education in view of obtaining the Level I certification;
  • Post-academic education in view of obtaining the Level I and Level II certification

Programs and activities of continuous professional development for teachers, by:

  • Formation courses in view of obtaining the teacher certifications
  • Admission colloquium for the teaching certification level I takes place every academic year during 15 January – 15 February
  • The scheduling process of the examinations for Level II and I teacher certifications, by the teachers in the pre-university education, for the following specializations:
    • Agriculture
    • Landscape
    • Biology
    • Agro-Processing technology
    • Horticulture
    • Animal Science
    • Veterinary Medicine
  • The examinations for teacher certifications Level II take place during the last 2 weeks of August, at the Department;
  • File processing fee: 150 RON

The curriculum and the organization and performance methodology are those set by the Ministry of Education, Research, Youth and Sport.

In order to perform the administrative tasks and the tasks pertaining to the personal register process, the TTD has its own office (secretary). The office has the personal register regarding the students, the documents and the normative acts with respect to the activity of the TTD, is in charge of the mail regarding the Ministry of Education, Research, Youth and Sport, the School Inspectorates and the Teachers’ Training Centers and is also in charge with the office activities (secretary).
