The University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine (USAMV) Cluj-Napoca is delighted to invite rose lovers to the annual \u201cParfum de Cluj\u201d event on 13 June, from 10.00 to 18.00, at the Horticultural Research Station (SCH).<\/p>\n
Now a well-established tradition, the event is organised by specialists from the university\u2019s research station, in collaboration with the Friends of Roses Association of Romania, and visitors will have the opportunity, as always, to admire the rose collection, which covers an area of one hectare and comprises 320 varieties \u2013 including 50 created at the SCH \u2013 1,500 hybrids and 30 elite varieties from all flowering groups.<\/p>\n
Rose enthusiasts will be treated to a guided tour, a presentation of newly patented or pending varieties, as well as informal discussions with SCH specialists and the chance to take photographs.<\/p>\n
The entry fee for the event, for adults only, is 10 lei, and at the stall near the entrance, visitors will be able to purchase single-stem roses from the varieties created at the station, as well as other products grown on site: dendrological plants, alongside potted flowers, fruit trees and shrubs, flower and vegetable seedlings, and fresh cherries and strawberries grown at the station.
