The University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine (USAMV) Cluj-Napoca invites wine-growing enthusiasts to an event organised on 4 September 2026 by the Faculty of Horticulture and Rural Development: the Exhibition of table grape varieties from the university’s own collection – 2nd edition.

The event, which is free to attend and will take place between 11.00 and 17.00 on the central lawn of the USAMV campus, will also feature growers from Transylvania, including graduates of the faculty.

There will be presentations on table and wine grape varieties from the teaching collection of the Department of Viticulture within the faculty, as well as from the invited growers from the Transylvania region. Furthermore, participants with an interest in viticulture are encouraged to ask questions and take part in the tastings organised as part of the event, which forms part of a wider range of courses and meetings held this year for the Cluj community.

The public will also have the opportunity to sample grape varieties from the Vinea Apoldia Maior Estate, from which the wines in the USAMV Cluj-Napoca collections are produced in Apoldu de Sus (Sibiu County).

The exhibition is organised in collaboration with the Transylvanian Society of Horticulture and Silviculture, the Terra Gloria Association, and under the auspices of the Romanian Society of Horticulturists and the EU GIFT Project.

[3

post-2778","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-evenimente
["GET
