USAMV Cluj-Napoca launches Echibiotic on the market, which is an active symbiotic complex consisting of six strains of probiotics, following 10 years of research.

We are pleased to announce the launch of the food supplement Echibiotic Complex Symbiotic, developed and produced by a team coordinated by Prof. Dr. Dan C. Vodnar, Vice Chancellor for Research and professor of Food Biotechnologies and Molecular Gastronomy in the Faculty of Food Science and Technology.

Echibiotic contains an active complex consisting of six strains of probiotics, together with a prebiotic, specially selected to restore the intestinal flora.

The launch of this product, a result of research over the past 10 years, will take place on Thursday, April 14, 2022, starting at 10:30 a.m., in the main hall of the “Mihai I of Romania” Institute of Life Sciences in the USAMV Cluj-Napoca campus.

The event will be attended by the rector of USAMV Cluj-Napoca, Prof. Dr. Cornel Cătoi, the project coordinator, Prof. Dr. Dan C. Vodnar, as well as Prof. Dr. Florinela Cătoi, specialist in Diabetes, Nutrition, Metabolic Diseases and professor in the Pathophysiology department within the  “Iuliu Hațieganu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy Cluj-Napoca.
