Research team led by Prof. Dr. Dan C. Vodnar, from USAMV Cluj-Napoca, awarded by the Romanian Academy

We are honored to announce that a team of researchers, led by Prof. Dr. Dan Cristian Vodnar, has been awarded by the Romanian Academy with the “Traian Săvulescu” Award – Fields of Biology, Phytopathology, Biotechnology, Food Science.
The work awarded by the Romanian Academy, at the Section of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences, is entitled “Removal of bacteria, viruses, and other microbial entities by means of nanoparticles – The antibacterial and antiviral role of nanoparticles” and was carried out by the team of researchers formed by Prof. Dr. Dan C. Vodnar, professor of Molecular Gastronomy and Food Biotechnologies at the Faculty of Food Science and Technology, together with Laura Cot (Mitrea), Lavinia Florina Mureşan (Călinoiu), Katalin Szabo and Bianca Eugenia Ştefănescu (Vodnar), from the Institute for Life Sciences “King Mihai I of Romania”, of USAMV Cluj-Napoca.
The awarding ceremony for the most valuable scientific and artistic creations of 2020, with the participation of the the research team from USAMV Cluj-Napoca will take place on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, in the Aula of the Romanian Academy, from 10.00, in the presence of the members of the General Assembly of the forum.
