The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine within USAMV Cluj-Napoca celebrates 60 years of existence

The University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Cluj-Napoca is honored to announce the 60th anniversary of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, established on October 1, 1962.

The anniversary ceremony will take place on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, from 10:00 a.m., in the Aula Magna “Mihai Șerban”, in the presence of the university management, the faculty, students and graduates, as well as certain national and international personalities in the veterinary field. The volume “Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Cluj-Napoca at 60 years – 1962-2022” will be presented, along with the anniversary medal and a photo exhibition  by the teaching staff.

“The faculty takes up its festive attire to evoke our history and to pay tribute to our predecessors. In the six decades of its existence, our faculty has trained 57 generations of graduates, that is, about 4,500 veterinarians, of which more than 600 came from abroad. We have also provided post-graduate, internship and doctoral training conditions for another 700 veterinarians. At this time of celebration, we congratulate all the faculty staff and our students.
