The Madrigal Choir was honoured on its anniversary by USAMV Cluj-Napoca with the launch of Madrigal wine, from the Excelentia Collection

Our University is happy to announce its contribution to an anniversary moment in Romanian culture, with the launch of Madrigal wine, the first blend of the Excelentia Collection, a wine harmonized from five noble varieties from the University’s Viticultural Station – Vinea Apoldia Maior.

The Madrigal wine from the Excelentia Collection is dedicated to the National Chamber Choir “Madrigal – Marin Constantin” in a moment of celebration, on the anniversary of 60 years of uninterrupted artistic activity. The noble varieties Traminer Rose, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Riesling Italian and Muscat Ottonel have been harmonised, as perfect tonalities, in a wine designed to delight the senses and celebrate excellence in music.

“In 2023, our university created a new range, Excelentia, to mark excellence in various fields of activity through its wines. The first label in this range is Madrigal, an anniversary coupage that reflects joy, beauty, passion, history in its notes, but also the continuous search for perfection, traits that define the entire activity of the Madrigal Choir. We are honoured to mark the anniversary of a landmark of Romanian music by launching this noble wine, accompanied by our admiration and congratulations”, said Prof. Dr. Cornel Cătoi, Rector of USAMV Cluj-Napoca.
