Our University and INRAE (National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and the Environment) of France signed, on 25 February 2023, the first high-level partnership agreement to strengthen cooperation in the fields of agri-food, medical-veterinary and bio-economic sciences.

The event took place at the International Agricultural Show in Paris, and according to the document signed by Philippe Mauguin, President and CEO of INRAE, and Prof. Dr. Cornel Cătoi, Rector of USAMV, the partnership will run for five years.

This first partnership agreement aims to strengthen cooperation between INRAE and USAMV Cluj-Napoca in the fields of bioeconomics, food, plant and animal sciences, environment, economic and social sciences.

The collaboration between our university and INRAE has materialised through participation in seven European projects, six projects funded by the Horizon Europe programme and one COST action project, coordinated by INRAE to promote innovation in the field of fermented foods.
