USAMV Cluj-Napoca launches an undergraduate program for the study of animal behavior in a seminar with international participation

For the first time in Romania, USAMV Cluj-Napoca announces the launch of a new undergraduate program, with English-language tuition – “Animal Behavior and Welfare”, within the Faculty of Animal Science and Biotechnology (FZB), starting with the academic year 2023-2024. The programme will last four years and graduates will become specialists in animal behaviour and welfare.
“This European qualification is included in European Occupational Standards (ESCO), as a specialist in animal behaviour and in demand by representatives of the Romanian labour market. The uniqueness of this bachelor program lies in the multi and interdisciplinary approach of transmitting theoretical and practical knowledge in areas such as ethology, animal psychology, behavioural genetics, welfare of all categories of animals from the perspective of international standards, emotions and cognition in animals, animal-assisted interventions and many others”, said FZB Dean, Prof. Dr. Daniel Dezmirean.
