Title of Doctor Honoris Causa, conferred by USAMV Cluj-Napoca to Prof. Dr. Dennis C. Turner

Our University is honoured to announce the award of an Honorary Doctorate to Prof. Dr. Dennis C. Turner, Director of the Institute of Applied Ethology and Animal Psychology (Switzerland), one of the world’s leading experts in the study of feline behaviour and human-animal interactions.

The nomination is based on his involvement in publications and research/education projects in the areas of animal behaviour and animal-assisted interventions, but especially for Prof. Turner’s collaborations with our university in providing advanced scientific advice in the development of English-taught degree programmes – Animal Behaviour and Welfare (undergraduate level) and Ethology & Human-Animal Interaction (master’s level) – Faculty of Animal Science and Biotechnology.
