Winners of the total grant of 1.3 million euros from the “Today’s student, tomorrow’s entrepreneur!” project present their businesses at USAMV Cluj-Napoca on 28 November 2023

The University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine (USAMV) Cluj-Napoca will host, on 28 November 2023, an event dedicated to the Project “Today’s student, tomorrow’s entrepreneur!”, in which 21 student entrepreneurs have won grants totalling 1.3 million euros. Thus, the winning students will present their success stories during the meeting scheduled in the Aula Magna “Mihai Șerban”, from 10.00 am, which will be attended by Prof. Dr. Cornel Cătoi, rector of USAMV Cluj-Napoca, the project implementation team and its partners.
Under the project, 342 part of the target group were trained to become entrepreneurs by following courses certified by the National Qualifications Authority (NQA). Following the business plan competition, 21 students were declared winners of the de minimis schemes, which were awarded as follows: 5 grants x €100,000, 6 grants x €60,000, 4 grants x €50,000 and 6 grants x €40,000.
USAMV Cluj-Napoca was the project leader and the partners were SADC Expert Consulting, North-West RDA and the Francophone Business Club of Cluj-Napoca. The implementation of the Project “Today’s student, tomorrow’s entrepreneur!” started on 1 January 2022 (MySmis Code 140502; Financing Contract No. OIPOSDRU NV 19730/23.12.2021) and the total eligible budget was 9.680.874,47 lei, of which EU budget – 8.189.003,85 lei, state budget – 1.416.964,19 lei and USAMV Cluj-Napoca contribution – 74.906,43 lei.
