USAMV Cluj-Napoca, first place in the ranking by universities at the Pietroasa vine cutting competition

USAMV Cluj-Napoca ranked 1st place in the ranking by universities in the “Best Vine Cutting Competition in Romania”, through the results obtained by the participating students!

At the 2nd edition, hosted on 2 March 2024 by the Teaching, Research and Development Station for Viticulture and Pomiculture Pietroasa – Istrița (Buzău county), the 4th year students of the Faculty of Horticulture and Busines in Rural Development,  Horticulture study programme obtained the following results: Florin Pușcaș – 2nd place; Bogdan Raul Morar and Cristian Cătălin Ciobanu – honourable mentions.

Also, Sergiu Savu (Master’s student in the first year of Technology of production and valorisation of special wines and derived products) was awarded with a mention in the section Experienced winegrowers.

Congratulations to Florin, Raul, Cristian and Sergiu, as well as to Lecturer Dr.  Anamaria Călugăr, who coordinated the participation of our students in the Pietroasa competition!

The competition was organized by Wines of Romania, in collaboration with Pietroasa Research Station, under the patronage of ONVPV – National Office of Vine and Wine Products!
