Yabdays Jr Cluj 2024, first edition, with over 100 Veterinary Medicine students

More than 100 students at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of our university, Romanian, French, English study lines, plus students under the Erasmus programme, welcomed the first edition of Yabdays Jr Cluj 2024, organised on campus by Yaboumba Junior Cluj-Napoca.

Lectures, workshops and practical events on wildlife and zoological medicine, with a focus on mental health, were presented by invited speakers: Dr. Norin Chaï, creator of the Yaboumba Association, Dr. Endre Sós, chief veterinarian of the Budapest Zoo and Dr. Ovidiu Roșu, founder of the Luana’s Dream Foundation.

Practical topics around tele-anesthesia, orthopedic surgery in birds or clinical cases at the Zoo were coordinated by Dr. Ioana Ene, Dr. Andrei Tudorache, Dr. Geo Lupu and Dr. Cosmina Dejescu.

The Yabdays Jr. programme also included a workshop on meditation, an open discussion on mental health in the veterinary field and a lecture by psychologist Csiki Klementina on managing stress as a student and veterinarian.
