150 years of existence and 105 years of education in Romanian at USAMV Cluj-Napoca. Message of the Minister of Education

Our University celebrated on Friday, July 26, 2024, 155 years of existence and 105 years of Romanian-language education, through a ceremony attended by over 100 guests from the academic community in Romania and the Republic of Moldova.

The event was also attended by Mrs. Ligia Deca, Minister of Education, who said:

“Happy Anniversary, University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Cluj-Napoca! We are celebrating 155 years since the foundation of an institution that constantly strives to offer students as many opportunities as possible, including relevant study and internship mobilities abroad. We wish you never-ending success, you have our full support!”.

We would like to thank all the participants, rectors and representatives from numerous universities and academies from the country and the Republic of Moldova for their emotional messages!

The double anniversary at our university also took place in the context of hosting, together with the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, the meeting of the National Council of Rectors (NCR).

“USAMV Cluj-Napoca and the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca hosted the meeting of the National Council of Rectors, where we discussed the completion of the new national standards to maintain the quality and competitiveness of higher education. We also discussed the subsequent PNRR legislation and investments for the modernization of dormitories and canteens, the creation of recreational spaces for students and the development of campuses for dual education”, said Ligia Deca, Minister of Education.
