Five labels of wines produced in 2023 at the Vinea Apoldia Maior Vineyard, medallists at the Winelovers Wine Awards in Budapest!

We are glad to receive the news from the organizers of the Winelovers Wine Awards, who have announced the results of this year’s competition, where our university’s station presented five labels for tasting and judging.

The best score was obtained by Academicum Sauvignon Blanc, gold medalist, while the other awarded wines are Muscat Ottonel and  Pink Traminer- silver medals and Semper Academicum and Pinot Gris – bronze medals.

The Winelovers Wine Awards, now in its sixth year, has 112 wineries entered. The organizer Trinity Media has already published the Winelovers 100 – 100 best Hungarian wines four times, which has gradually become a point of reference on the Hungarian market for wineries, buyers and consumers alike.

Since 2024, however, the organizers have decided to expand the competition in terms of the wines entered, the composition of the jury and the communication of the results, but their main objective has remained unchanged: to connect the region and wine-loving consumers with winemakers, merchants and experts in the field.
