International Conference “Life Sciences for Sustainable Development”, with the participation of over 350 Life Sciences specialists from 18 countries, at USAMV Cluj-Napoca

The University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine (USAMV) Cluj-Napoca is hosting, between September 26-28, 2024, the International Conference “Life Sciences for Sustainable Development”, with the participation of over 350 specialists from Romania and 17 other countries.
The event has become a tradition on the campus of USAMV Cluj-Napoca and is now in its 23rd edition.
The main objective of the conference is the exchange of scientific views, innovative ideas and concepts with the aim of fostering inter- and trans-disciplinarity. The program includes a plenary session and 10 life sciences-specific sessions, giving researchers from all over the world the chance to communicate scientific results and network.
Topical scientific and technological results will be communicated through oral presentations and posters in the specific sessions: Agriculture and Environmental Protection, Horticulture, Economics and Rural Development, Animal Husbandry and Biotechnology, Veterinary Medicine, Food Science and Technology, Geodesy, Forestry and Exact Applied Sciences.
Students and teachers from the six faculties of USAMV Cluj-Napoca will participate, together with specialists from Austria, Algeria, Croatia, France, Germany, Greece, Iraq, Italy, Great Britain, Netherlands, Portugal, Republic of Moldova, Serbia, Spain, United States of America, Sweden, Thailand, Romania, United Kingdom, and the United States of America.
The opening ceremony of the conference, followed by the plenary session, will take place in the Aula Magna “Mihai Șerban”, on September 26, starting at 9.30. The specific sessions of the conference will be held in the amphitheaters of the university as well as at the Biodiversity Research Center.
