We are pleased to announce the launch of the website https://gourmeticus.ro/, where USAMV Cluj-Napoca products, which are also available in our stores, are now also available for online orders, with delivery in Cluj-Napoca and its surroundings.

We invite you to visit the platform and enjoy products from the Cojocna Farm  Experimental Didactic Station and the Apoldia Maior Vineyard, available in the sausages, milk and eggs and wine sections. Appetizer platters are also available.

Other products we recommend on the website are from the Faculty of Agriculture’s own specialist production – herbal teas and water, plus essential oils, as well as those resulting from decades of research at our university – Echibiotic and the ProPlanta range.

The platform has a friendly design with professional illustrations and an accessible menu where our customers will easily find the products they want. Here are some details about them:

The white wines in the still (non-sparkling) category are made from grapes from the university’s Apoldia Maior estate.

Milk and cheeses – cow’s belly cheese, cow’s curd cheese, cow’s cottage cheese, cow’s telemea and sana are certified organic, being obtained in the Milk Processing Center of SDE Cojocna Farm.

At the Carmangeria Gourmeticus Academicum, you can try the Haiduc cutlet, Prague ham, Montana sirloin, spicy or smoked sausages, etc.

The eggs also come from SDE Ferma Cojocna, where the chickens are reared at ground level and fed with organic cereals.

Our products stand out on the market for several reasons:

They come from natural and whole raw materials – whole milk is unpasteurized (we do not extract the fat from the milk to make other products such as cream or butter), but it is pasteurized to remove possible micro-organisms from the milk without altering its quality, so it remains a “live” product (the milk is sour within 10 days after pasteurization);

They are made according to traditional, clean-label recipes (without additives and seasoning mixes) for meat mainly from animals from our own livestock farms or from other farms in the country. The raw materials follow a classic technological process of obtaining finished products, closely followed by meat specialists at the Faculty of Food Science and Technology. The recipes used are old, well-established and do not contain sausage emulsions, preservatives or colorants;

Thus, the shelf life is short due to the lack of preservatives.

Therefore, we do not compromise on quality and we are proud that our products retain an authentic taste, which is often noticed by customers not only in our own shops, but also at the many events and festivals in the community, where the university participates with its stands.

Under this brand, the Cafeteria for students also operates on campus, where you can find products made from raw materials coming from the farms and pilot stations of USAMV Cluj-Napoca.

With a 155-year history, our university prepares over 5,000 students for successful careers in dozens of fields, who complete their education in six faculties: Agriculture; Veterinary Medicine; Animal Sciences & Biotechnology; Horticulture & Rural Development Business; Food Science & Technology; Forestry & Cadastre.

A great advantage for our students is the fact that each faculty provides for practical work in the school curriculum, so that the vast areas of USAMV Cluj-Napoca’s farms and stations are perfect for all specializations.
