The University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine (USAMV) Cluj-Napoca, as a funding beneficiary, is launching, starting 1 November 2024, the project PEO 2021-2027 Internships – success in professional career – code MySMIS 314902. The project, worth 4.056.148,42 lei (of which 3.447.726,16 lei is the European Union co-financing), will run for 24 months, from 01.11.2024 to 31.10.2026.
The overall objective of the project is to improve the quality and labour market relevance of the academic offer of USAMV Cluj-Napoca, by cultivating entrepreneurial skills in the context of the green transition and by implementing internship programmes congruent with the current demand for labour.
The specific objectives are:
Improve the level of entrepreneurial skills, green skills and social-emotional competences of 280 students;
Optimisation of the academic offer of USAMVCN through at least 36 public-private partnerships, in order to carry out 280 internships in order to meet the requirements of the labour market;
To support the employability of future graduates of USAMVCN by shaping the personal and professional profile of the employee required on the labour market.
Through inter-institutional cooperation based on collaboration agreements with socio-economic partners/employers, students will be provided with professional training and assistance in order to increase their professional and specialised skills, towards facilitating their labour-market integration.
The project target group consists of 280 undergraduate and master students from the North-West, West, Centre and North-East development regions, in order to stimulate the participation in the labour market of young people from regions with an employment rate below the national average.
To this end, USAMVCN will capitalise on the transversal competences training and increase the applicability of the academic offer through the following project activities:
Organisation and implementation of two (2) training/academic programmes related to the development of eco-responsible entrepreneurial skills and the acquisition of green skills required by the climate transition;
Running a workshop to train students’ social-emotional competences for labour market integration;
Developing and supporting sustainable partnerships with potential employers;
Running 280 specialised internships.
The project “Internships – career success” – MySMIS code 314902 is co-funded by the European Social Fund (ESF+), through the Education and Employment Programme 2021-2027, Investment Priority P07 – Increasing the quality of vocational education and training provision to ensure the equity of the system and better adaptation to labour market dynamics and the challenges of innovation and technological progress.
The conference to launch the project will take place on 5 November 2024, at 12.00, in the Senate Hall of the Rectorate building, located on the USAMV Cluj-Napoca campus.
