World Food Day 2024 marked with a unique video competition with prizes organised for students and pupils by the Faculty of Food Science and Technology (FSTA)

World Food Day is celebrated annually on 16 October, by resolution of the United Nations, and our university celebrates it every year with events, workshops on various relevant topics, demonstration workshops, etc.

In 2024, the Faculty of Food Science and Technology announces the launch of a novel competition for students and pupils: the creation of videos on the topic “The right to food for a better life and a better future”. The competition is open to first year Bachelor and Master students from the Faculty of Food Science and Technology, as well as to 12th grade students from Cluj county.

The aim of the competition, which is a first at our university, is to emphasise the importance of access to safe and nutritious food for everyone, highlighting the long-term benefits of this fundamental right.

How will the competition be organised?

Type of material: video up to 60 seconds

Application deadline: 31 October 2024, by filling in the application form on the Faculty of Food Science and Technology website: https://tinyurl.com/4c9ud22d https://tinyurl.com/4c9ud22d .

Deadline and email for sending videos: 12 November 2024, 22:00; decanat.sta@usamvcluj.ro decanat.sta@usamvcluj.ro .

The winners will be announced and prizes awarded on 15 November 2024.

Participation conditions

Each team must consist of a maximum of 3 participants;

Participants can be coordinated by 1-2 teachers;

The video must be original and convey the message of the competition topic.

Awards

First Prize: €150 / participant

Second prize: €100 / participant

Third Prize: € 50 / participant
(The exchange rate will be calculated at the time of payment).
