Courses organized for the first time by specialists of the Faculty of Horticulture and Rural Development Business for the Cluj community

In March, specialists from FHADR held, for the first time, courses for the Cluj community, attended by more than 150 viticulture, orcharding and floriculture enthusiasts.
The training sessions were held on campus, in greenhouses or in the teaching orchard, where the vine and fruit tree collections are located. Our specialists gave presentations, followed by practical applications, and the participants were delighted with the experiences shared by our faculty. They took pictures, filmed and asked many questions during these courses and expressed their wish to participate in the next events of this kind organized on the USAMV Cluj-Napoca campus.
The students also had the opportunity, for instance, to learn about the Viticulture Discipline’s Ampelographic Collection, which includes over 60 grape varieties (table, raisin and wine), interspecific hybrids and rootstocks.
These training sessions, at the end of which trainees received a certificate of attendance, were held as follows:
Courses on vine pruning (Viticulture Discipline): 14-15 March 2025, held by Prof. Dr. Claudiu Bunea and Lecturer Dr. Anamaria Călugăr;
Courses on pruning of fruit trees (Discipline Pomiculture): March 14-15, 2025, held by Lecturer Dr. Andreea Andrecan;

Congratulations to our colleagues from the Faculty of Horticulture and Business in Rural Development, as well as to the more than 150 participants passionate about viticulture, fruit growing and floriculture!
