USAMV Cluj-Napoca obtains funding of 7.94 million lei for the “First Student in the Family” Program, with the project entitled “ORIZONT – Advanced support and inclusion program for the first students in the family” – SMIS code 325041

The University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine (USAMV) Cluj-Napoca has obtained funding for the project “ORIZONT – Advanced Support and Inclusion Program for the first students in the family” – SMIS code 325041, submitted within the competitive call of the Education and Employment Program (PEO), funded under Priority OP 6 “Prevent early school drop-out and increase access and participation of disadvantaged groups in education”, Specific Objective ESO4.6 “Promoting equal access to and completion of quality and inclusive education and training, especially for disadvantaged groups, starting with early childhood education and care, continuing with general and vocational education and training up to tertiary education and adult education and learning, including by facilitating mobility for learning for all and accessibility for people with disabilities”.
The project has been approved with a total eligible amount of 7.943.180,79 lei and will be financed by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+).
USAMV Cluj-Napoca has the role of project leader, with the Cluj County School Inspectorate and the “Napoca” College of Services in Tourism as partners. The project will run for a period of 30 months, under the coordination of Prof. Dr. Ioana Roman.
The overall objective of the project is to provide the partnership with integrated support measures for 185 pupils and 170 students. The beneficiaries of the support measures are pupils and students with learning disabilities, who are at risk of not completing the form of study they are following. In order to achieve the general objective, concrete support measures are proposed which, through their implementation, will improve the situation of the target group and contribute to the achievement of the results and indicators of the call for projects. At the same time, equal access to quality education and the reduction of dropout rates will be promoted, with an emphasis on supporting disadvantaged groups.
