Vine pruning course, organized on campus by the Faculty of Horticulture and Rural Development Affairs

Specialists from the Viticulture Discipline – Faculty of Horticulture and Rural Development Business at USAMV Cluj-Napoca will hold courses on vine pruning, with training sessions scheduled for March 14-15, 2025.
The courses are open to all viticulture enthusiasts and will include a short theoretical introduction on vine pruning, followed by practical applications in the Ampelographic Collection (4 hours), and at the end of the course, students will receive a diploma.
The training sessions will take place as follows:
14 March – 9.00 – 13.00 – Prof. Dr. Claudiu Bunea;
𝟏5 March – 10.00 – 14.00 – Lecturer Dr. Anamaria Călugăr.

Trainees will learn three forms of vine stump pruning and are asked to be equipped with personal vine/horticultural pruning shears, gloves and spare footwear.
Attending this course is also an opportunity to learn from our specialists about the Viticulture Department’s Ampelographic Collection, which includes over 60 grape varieties (table, raisin and wine), interspecific hybrids, as well as rootstocks.
