Opening of the equine-themed works from the Sculpture Camp on campus in partnership with the University of Art and Design

Between May 12-16, 2025, the 2nd edition of the Sculpture Camp took place on the campus of our university, through a partnership with the University of Art and Design Cluj-Napoca – Sculpture Department. Under the coordination of Prof. Dr. Florin Lucian Marin and Prof. Dr. Radu Handru, seven students from the second year of the Bachelor’s degree program created five masterfully crafted works with themes from the equine world.

In the area where the camp was held, on May 21, the opening took place, attended by the student authors and their teachers, together with Prof. Prof. Dr. Liviu-Florian Ștefan, Rector of UAD, and Prof. Dr. Cornel Cătoi, Rector of USAMV Cluj-Napoca, members of the management of the two universities, teachers and students from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, together with Prof. Dr. Cristian Crecan – Equine Service.

We are pleased to present the names of the works and the students – Fine Arts, Sculpture:

“The crack of a free soul” – Diana Maria Cîrțoroșan; Ioana Magdalena Todoruț;

“Memento Equus” – Ilie Cojocaru;

“The Horse’s Sleep” – Naomi Pătrînjan, Felicia Dragan;

“Chase” – Lev Bantuș;

“The Breath of Horses” – Dregics Árpád, Dániel Árpád.

Congratulations and warm thanks to the students and professors from UAD, who delighted us with their talent and passion, as well as to our colleague Constantin Florea Boșcor, from the Restoration and Creation Service, for his involvement in the project since the first edition!
