Over 50 innovative bachelor’s thesis papers at the Food Festival, organized by USAMV Cluj-Napoca on May 30. Among the products presented by students: sugar-free chocolate, melatonin beer or probiotic jellies

The University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine (USAMV) Cluj-Napoca is organizing, on 30 May 2025, the 12th edition of the Food Festival, a reference event dedicated to food innovation, which brings to the forefront the creativity and practical skills of the final year students from the Faculty of Food Science and Technology.

At the Biodiversity Research Center, the festival will bring together more than 50 innovative food products, developed as part of undergraduate work, and grouped into four sections: meat products, dairy products, bakery products, pastries and confectionery, and miscellaneous products.

Notable concepts in this edition include:

– PurpleDogs – meat-based snack;

– CraftBeer Bites – craft beer bites with cranberries;

– CrenVital – Black Angus beef protein hot dogs;

– Pink Kefir and GoldenChill LactoFree – functional and lactose-free dairy products;

– Ganoderma muffins and Gingerbread with herbs – creations from the bakery section;

– CHOCOLINA – Sugar-free chocolate, Artisanal Zephyr or Fig and Rhubarb Spread from the pastry and confectionery category;

– Melatonin beer, Quince mead, Pinapple cider;

– In the “Miscellaneous” category: vegan protein bars, microprotein gummy candies, Brocco Bites Snack, Oxibar or Functional Jelly with probiotics, CajuCult – vegan alternative with probiotic power.

The students’ innovative work will be judged by four different juries, according to the four sections, between 8.00 – 12.00, and the award ceremony will start at 12.30. Congratulations and good luck to all participants!
