The month of April is reserved for the sale of flower and vegetable seedlings produced at the campus greenhouses and the Horticultural Research Station

The end of April is generally dedicated to seedling sales at the USAMV Cluj-Napoca greenhouses, where specialized engineers also offer advice on how to grow them.

This spring, tens of thousands of vegetable seedlings were the first to go on sale, as early as April 3, directly from the greenhouse of the Horticultural Research Station (CHS), with prices ranging from 2-6 lei.

The offer included more than 200 varieties/hybrids (60 tomatoes, 38 peppers, 30 cabbage, 30 aromatic herbs, 30 pumpkin, 15 cucumbers, 15 eggplants). The seedlings were obtained from professional seeds and delivered in nutritious cubes, so that they could take root much faster, with 100% take.

Tot la SCH, dar la sera floricolă, au fost puse în vânzare, începând din 22 aprilie, mușcate, crizanteme, brumărele, lavandă, crăițe sau begonia.

At the campus greenhouses, the sales started the same week: from April 24, flowers, and from April 25, vegetable seedlings.

Gardening enthusiasts and patio decorators could buy……………….., begonias or dipladenia, as well as eggplant seedlings, white bell peppers, kapia, chili or red bell peppers, traditional tomatoes, oxheart or Cristal and San Marzano hybrids.
