USAMV Cluj-Napoca at Agraria 2025, anniversary edition: educational stands, consultancy, workshops and demonstrations in the agricultural and animal breeding fields, award ceremony and sale of wines from own production

The University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine (USAMV) Cluj-Napoca will also be present at the anniversary edition of Agraria 2025, which marks 30 years since the fair was launched, from April 10-13, in Jucu (Cluj county).

Through the partnership developed with Agraria, USAMV Cluj-Napoca offers visitors at this year’s edition appealing events, important educational information, an awards ceremony, as well as the sale of wines from the Apoldia Maior Wine Station.

Thus, throughout the fair, USAMV Cluj-Napoca will have the presentation of offers for the 2025 admission to the six faculties at its educational stand, as well as information and advice by teachers and student volunteers.

The Faculty of Agriculture will also set up a stand presenting agricultural technologies: soil tillage, safe application of plant protection products or safe use of agricultural resources. There will also be small demonstrations on testing and diagnostics of application methods for plant protection products.

An important component of the participation of USAMV Cluj-Napoca at Agraria 2025 is the organization of three workshops on extremely interesting topics for the participants. The Faculty of Animal Science and Biotechnology will hold two such events on April 10, as follows:

  • “Challenges in pork production” – 13.00, presentation by Prof. Dr. Ioan Ladoși;
  • “Consultancy services and partnerships with farmers offered by the Faculty of Animal Sciences and Biotechnologies” – 14.00, presentation by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cristian Coroian.

The third workshop is organized on 11 April by the Faculty of Horticulture and Business in Rural Development, and the program includes several presentations as well as an award ceremony for the most innovative farmers participating in the Grazing4AgroEcology competition.
