Modern equipment from Purina Pro Plan Romania for the Human-Animal Interaction Research Laboratory, part of the Faculty of Animal Science and Biotechnology
In the 2025-2026 academic year, students enrolled in the “Animal Behaviour and Welfare” (in English, bachelor’s degree) and “Ethology & Human-Animal Interaction” (master’s degree) programmes at the Faculty of Animal Science and Biotechnology will have access to a state-of-the-art laboratory, thanks to the contribution of Purina Pro Plan Romania.
The Human-Animal Interaction Research Laboratory, coordinated by Prof. Dr. Alina Rusu, has been equipped with branding infrastructure worth €12,000, which will enable research in the field of human-animal interaction, including practical sessions for students – animal-assisted activities, assessment of animal personality for therapy, and interviews with animal owners.
In the first stage of the fruitful collaboration with Purina Pro Plan Romania, the official presentation of these first facilities will take place, together with company representatives, at an event scheduled for 23 October 2025, at 12:00, in Room 99 – USAMV Cluj-Napoca Aquarium Complex.
This event also fits in with the theme of World Animal Day in October (#WorldAnimalDay2025): “Raising the status of animals to improve welfare standards around the globe”.
