“Parfum de Cluj” – visit the rose collection of USAMV Cluj-Napoca on 14 June 2025. The latest varieties patented by OSIM by the Horticultural Research Station – Luna albă and Splendoria – will also be presented.

The University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine (USAMV) Cluj-Napoca is pleased to invite rose lovers to the annual “Parfum de Cluj” event on 14 June, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., at the Horticultural Research Station (SCH).

Now a tradition, the event is organised by specialists from the university station, together with the Romanian Rose Lovers Association, and visitors will have the opportunity, as always, to admire the rose collection, which includes 320 varieties, 1,500 hybrids and 30 elite varieties from all flowering groups.

For the specialists at SCH, visiting the collection this year is an additional source of pride, as they will present two new varieties to the public, patented by the State Office for Inventions and Trademarks (OSIM): Luna Albă and Splendoria.

Rose enthusiasts will enjoy a guided tour, a presentation of newly patented or pending varieties, as well as informal discussions with SCH specialists alongside the opportunity to take photographs. Participation is free, and at the stand near the entrance to the event, visitors will be able to purchase over 20 varieties of rose cuttings, at prices ranging from 5 to 7 lei, as well as seasonal flowers produced by the Horticultural Research Station. Car access will only be possible via Horticultorilor Street no. 5, while pedestrians can also reach the event via the entrance at the end of Liviu Rebreanu Street, next to the station’s shops.
