PRESS RELEASE Expanding the professional, teaching and scientific skills of teachers in agricultural high schools through implementation of the continuing education programme Transition to Green Bioeconomy
The University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Cluj-Napoca (USAMVCN), as the beneficiary of funding, is implementing the project Sustainable Agricultural Education to Ensure the Transition to Green Bioeconomy between 11 December 2024 and 30 October 2025 – Project manager Prof. Dr. Ioana Pop, funding contract no. 14116/10 December 2024.
The project was funded through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) under Component 15 – Education, Pillar VI – Policies for the new generation, Reform 4 – Creating a complete professional route for higher ethnic education, Investment 7 – Transformation of agricultural high schools into vocational training centres, Call for projects – Training programme for teachers in agricultural high schools.
The overall objective of the project was to increase the capacity of 15 agricultural high schools in the North-West, North-East and Centre development regions to provide modern and relevant agricultural education to students, by expanding the skills of 150 teachers in the curriculum area of technology, agriculture/forestry, as well as related fields (biology, chemistry, physics, etc.).
The total value of the project is 731,223.00 lei, of which the eligible amount through the PNRR is 698,611.61 lei, and the amount from the state budget is 32,611.39 lei.
