USAMV Cluj-Napoca is participating with 27 workshops, exhibitions and demonstrations for science enthusiasts of all ages at European Researchers’ Night 2025
We are pleased to announce our university’s most extensive participation in the successful annual European Researchers’ Night event, on 26 September 2025, between 1 p.m. and midnight, on the plateau in front of the “Horia Demian” Sports Hall in Cluj-Napoca.
No fewer than 27 workshops, demonstrations and themed science and technology exhibitions supported by students, professors and researchers from our faculties, research institutes and stations will be presented to enthusiasts of all ages who will visit the event.
This year, Cluj-Napoca, together with Iași, Bistrița, Sighetu Marmației, Beclean, Năsăud, Sângeorz-Băi, Pașcani and Hârlău, joins more than 400 European cities dedicated to science and innovation. The 2025 edition has a special significance, marking 20 years since the launch of this European initiative.
Our city thus becomes part of one of the most prestigious and renowned European initiatives for the popularisation of science, which, over the years, has established itself as a unique opportunity for the younger generation of pupils and students, but also for the entire community, to discover the world of research and innovation.
For one day, children and adults will have the opportunity to actively participate in scientific experiments, communicate with researchers, and learn about the results of scientific research and how they are implemented.
This event is organised as the main activity within the SCIENCE4FUTURE-III project, funded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions programme, Horizon Europe Framework Programme (HORIZON). This project is initiated and implemented by Babeș-Bolyai University, Faculty of Geography in Cluj-Napoca (Bistrița University Extension – project leader, in collaboration with the Centre for Settlement and Urbanism Research and the University Extension of the Faculty of Geography in Sighetu Marmației), in partnership with the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Cluj-Napoca, the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, the Technical University “Gheorghe Asachi” of Iași and the Bistrița-Năsăud Museum Complex. The project partners include higher education and research institutions, pre-university education institutions, as well as economic units, associations and NGOs.
The event is free and open to the general public. Details: https://tinyurl.com/4sfh9htv and https://noaptea-cercetatorilor.eu/.
