“Young Researchers in Science and Engineering” awards, with USAMV Cluj-Napoca represented among the winners

Congratulations, Assistant Professor Georgiana Deak (Faculty of Veterinary Medicine – Parasitology and Parasitic Diseases), distinguished for her entire research activity with a Special Mention in the national competition “Young Researchers in Science and Engineering”, organised by the Cluj-Napoca City Hall, in partnership with Prof. Dr. Rada Mihalcea!

These annual awards, initiated in 2015, recognise young researchers in science and engineering who, through their work, have demonstrated excellence and made extraordinary contributions to their field of expertise and to society. In 2025, the competition was in its 11th edition and attracted over 50 applications from across the country. The award ceremony for the winners will take place on 25 July!

Prof. Dr. Rada Mihalcea teaches at the University of Michigan and has been an Honorary Citizen of Cluj-Napoca since 2014!

Since the first edition of the competition, research at USAMV Cluj-Napoca has been rewarded with numerous distinctions! Congratulations to all the researchers at our university!
