Danube Rectors’ Conference: Lecturer Dr. Lavinia Călinoiu Mureșan, awarded the Danubius Young Scientist Award 2025

Lecturer Dr. Lavinia Călinoiu Mureșan, from the Faculty of Food Science and Technology, was awarded the Danubius Young Scientist Award 2025 at the Danube Rectors’ Conference held in Tuzla (Bosnia and Herzegovina). The award, given annually to the most promising young researchers in the Danube region, confirmed the international impact of her scientific work.

The ceremony took place on 13 November, in the presence of leading academic figures, including the Minister of Education, Prof. Daniel David, PhD, as president of the Danube Rectors’ Conference, and Prof. Dan C. Vodnar, PhD, president of the Senate of USAMV Cluj-Napoca. Our faculty was also represented by Lecturer Dr. Adrian Mărtău.

The laudatio also included a word of thanks to Ms. Martina Hartl, Deputy Head of Department at the Federal Ministry for Women, Science and Research (Austria), the programme coordinator.

The Danubius Young Scientist Award is given annually to one young researcher from each country in the Danube region for outstanding scientific contributions. The award is considered one of the most important recognitions given to researchers in the early stages of their academic careers.
