“Integrated risk assessment for food of animal origin – a transdisciplinary approach in the context of One Health”

The University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Cluj-Napoca, together with the National Research and Development Institute for Food Bioresources – IBA Bucharest, Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy Bucharest, the Institute of Veterinary Hygiene and Public Health Bucharest and the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Bucharest – Faculty of Biotechnology, is organising on Friday, 3 October 2025, the second workshop within the ADER 16.1.2 project Research on the development of a certification scheme for the food chain in accordance with the ONE HEALTH concept, entitled “Integrated risk assessment for food of animal origin – a transdisciplinary approach in the context of One Health”. The workshop will be held in a hybrid format (http://meet.google.com/sxo-vhew-jto), between 13:00 and 16:00, in the Red Amphitheatre of USAMV Cluj-Napoca.

With a budget of 1,600,000 lei, running over a period of three years (2023-2026), The ADER16.1.2 project “Research on the development of a food chain certification scheme in line with the One Health concept” has as its main objective the promotion of the One Health concept in Romanian society through two important promotion channels:

  1. A certification scheme for food products whose production and processing fall within this concept and
  2. A collaborative information and interaction platform to support multi- and transdisciplinarity and co-creation for building a food system that prioritises human, animal and ecosystem health.

The regional workshop on 3 October 2025, entitled “Integrated risk assessment for food of animal origin – a transdisciplinary approach in the context of One Health”, aims to identify the needs of stakeholders interested in the One Health concept and is part of a series of events dedicated to the regional promotion of the One Health vision in Romania.
