RO.aliment Show, 9th edition, premiering at USAMV Cluj-Napoca, with over 300 specialists from the Romanian food industry, between 13-15 October 2025

Our university is honoured to announce that it will host a major event for the first time, between 13 and 15 October 2025: the 9th edition of RO.aliment SHOW. For three days, over 300 participants – processors, technology and solution providers, researchers, nutritionists, members of the academic community, control authorities and relevant associations – will take part in the most important B2B event in the sector.

The event will open on 13 October at 9:00 a.m. with a ceremony attended by Prof. Dr. Cornel Cătoi, Rector of USAMV Cluj-Napoca, at the Centre for Biodiversity Research. Also, Prof. Dr. Dan C. Vodnar, President of the University Senate and Professor of Molecular Gastronomy and Biotechnology at the Faculty of Food Science and Technology, will be a speaker during the three-day programme. Prof. Dr. Dan C. Vodnar will participate in the following workshops: The structure of milk under the microscope – differences between homogenised and non-homogenised milk; The hidden challenges of Romanian milk (13 October); Food – microbiota and mental health; The future of the meat & alternative products sector (14 October).

RO.aliment SHOW 2025, organised at USAMV Cluj-Napoca, a centre of excellence in research, education and technology transfer, debates the theme “The food industry in 2025 – How to turn vision into reality”.

The RO.aliment SHOW 2025 agenda includes:

– Thematic workshops dedicated to milk, meat, alternative products, bakery and pastry;

– Conferences on topics such as food safety, microbiota and health, labelling, innovation in technological processes;

– Anniversary panels “10 years of Gusturi Alese”, with the judges of the “Ora de Bun Gust – Premiile Gustul Ales” competition;

– Bread Day – “Elevate Traditions”, a historical and practical insight into the culture of baking, with sensory tastings and recipes recreated at the USAMV pilot stations;

“RO.aliment SHOW is an essential meeting point for the food industry, providing the ideal setting for open dialogue, innovation and real partnerships,” emphasise the organisers.
