USAMV Cluj-Napoca is participating in the implementation of Activity A6 – Awarding social grants to students from disadvantaged backgrounds and groups, as part of the project “Interventions for tertiary education – systemic measures to prevent and reduce university dropout rates”, SMIS code 322473, run by the Executive Unit for the Financing of Higher Education, Research, Development and Innovation (UEFISCDI), in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Research, co-financed by the European Social Fund through the Education and Employment Programme 2021–2027, and the national budget.

Activity A6 – Awarding social grants to students from disadvantaged backgrounds and groups aims to provide social grants to students from disadvantaged backgrounds and groups, with a view to supporting their access to, participation in and retention in higher education, as a measure to prevent and reduce university dropout rates. The social grant awarded through the project is a fixed amount of 925 lei per month and is awarded up to and including July 2026.

Students who cumulatively meet the following eligibility criteria may be part of the project’s target group:

be aged between 18 and 29 at the time of registration, be enrolled on a full-time undergraduate or master’s degree programme, in a state-funded place;

meet the conditions for the award of a social scholarship set out in Article 10(9)(a)–(c) of OME No. 6463/2023;

meet the conditions for the award of the social scholarship set out in the university’s methodology for awarding social scholarships.

During the first stage of registration, the university uploads to the UEFISCDI social scholarship platform the list of students selected for the award of a social scholarship in the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic year (to be paid in January 2026), who meet the eligibility criteria set out in the project. Subsequently, students included in this stage will receive, by email, the information required to activate their account on the UEFISCDI social scholarship platform, complete the requested details and sign the documents relating to registration in the project’s target group.

For the second stage of registration, students must follow the timetable and instructions provided by the university.

Students receiving social scholarships, as well as those subsequently selected in stage II, are asked to regularly check the email address provided to the university, including the Spam/Junk folder, so as not to miss messages regarding registration on the UEFISCDI social scholarship platform, completing the required information and signing the necessary documents.
