The first edition of “Food & Drinks Transylvania | Business & Education Hub”, organised by the Faculty of Food Science and Technology

The Faculty of Food Science and Technology organised on Friday, 13 March 2026, the first edition of the “Food & Drinks Transylvania | Business & Education Hub” event, an initiative dedicated to strengthening dialogue between the academic community and the food industry.

The aim of this initiative is to build a permanent regional platform for collaboration, facilitating the exchange of know-how, the development of joint projects, professional opportunities for students, and the practical transfer of skills between the university and the business community.

We were honoured to have representatives from the food industry and valued partners join us, alongside the faculty’s teaching staff, in an open dialogue about the challenges and opportunities in the field.

The following speakers gave presentations at the event: Dr Gheorghe Mateș, Manager at ZYNK – Innovative digital solutions for streamlining processes in the food industry; Ovidiu Florean, Sales Director at Rottaprint – Solutions for labels and printed films specifically for the food industry.

We would like to thank all the partners present for their involvement and openness to collaboration with the academic community, all the more so as we hope this hub will become an annual meeting point for ideas, projects and sustainable partnerships in the agri-food sector.
