USAMV Cluj-Napoca and the Bistrița Agricultural Technical High School are launching the “AgriSmart Club” Educational Hub, as part of the mentoring and tutoring activities – the PNRR Project “AGRISMART – Innovation and Education in Agriculture”
The University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine (USAMV) Cluj-Napoca, through its commercial company – Agronomia Agro Food Innovation SRL, and in partnership with the Bistrița Agricultural Technical High School, announces the launch of the “AgriSmart Club” Educational Hub, organised as part of the mentoring and tutoring activities – the PNRR project “AGRISMART – Innovation and Education in Agriculture”.
Teaching staff with expertise in the agricultural field from USAMV Cluj-Napoca have been recruited to implement the activities, and the main objective of the project is to develop the skills and provide professional training in the agricultural field for students at the Bistrița Agricultural Technical High School.
The activities included in the project plan take place both at the school and at the university, offering participants access to educational resources and specialist academic infrastructure.
The “AgriSmart Club” Educational Hub aims to become a space for learning and innovation for the agriculture of the future, a non-formal framework for collaborative learning intended for pupils, students, teachers, entrepreneurs and anyone interested in modern agriculture, technology and innovation.
“Partnerships between the academic world, pre-university education and the business sector are essential for training a new generation of specialists in the fields of agricultural sciences and veterinary medicine, capable of integrating theoretical knowledge with practical experience and responding to the challenges of today’s and tomorrow’s society,” said the Rector of USAMV Cluj-Napoca, Prof. Dr. Cornel Cătoi.
Participants enrolled in the “AgriSmart Club” Educational Hub will be able to strengthen their practical, digital and entrepreneurial skills through interactive activities, the exchange of ideas and team-based projects. They will also form an active learning and collaboration community, facilitating the organisation of regular meetings – in person or online – designed to support the exchange of best practices, the sharing of experiences and the testing of innovative educational solutions.
“Involvement in educational projects within the agricultural sector is essential for training future specialists; that is why we aim to create a link between pre-university and university education and the entrepreneurial environment, to offer students practical learning opportunities, access to modern resources and direct interaction with specialists in the field . In this way, we are helping to prepare a new generation of professionals capable of meeting the challenges of modern agriculture, based on innovation, technology and sustainability,” added Dr Cristina Colciar, Engineer and Director of Agronomia Agro Food Innovation SRL.
