Library

The history of our  Library is strongly connected to that of the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine in Cluj-Napoca

The first reference to the library’s funds is in 1872, when the Institute’s Yearbook records the existence of 881 volumes.  In those times, the first ones to bring books into this settlement were the professors and students, through their own efforts.

Currently, the Library of USAMV Cluj-Napoca have a documentary fund consisting of over 180000 volumes used by 6000  readers managed through the integrated library automation system   “Liberty5”

The first floor accommodates the info desk and loan office. Here there are also blended learning spaces with computers for group study .

At the second floor, users have acces to a reading room with a capacity of 140 seats.

On the third floor there is a room with open access to books.

• Pick up your ID card from the INFO office
• The fee for library card : 50 lei for  external user, 15 lei for a library card copy (for all users)

• Publication consulting in the free shelf access room
• Home borrowing
• Assistance regarding the identification of the publications in the catalogues and in the on-line data bases
• CD-ROM and DVD-ROM consulting
