Doctoral university studies, hereinafter referred to as doctoral studies, represent the third cycle of academic education provided by our university. These studies confer the academic title of Doctor and correspond to a Level 8 qualification within both the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) and the National Qualifications Framework (CNC).
The University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Cluj-Napoca (USAMV CN) is an institution that has assumed the mission of advanced research and education, with the development of doctoral studies constituting a key component of its strategic objectives.
At USAMV CN, scientific and professional doctoral programs are conducted, based on a research-driven learning model, with the main objective of developing highly qualified human resources in the fields of research, development, and innovation. The doctorate represents a prerequisite for a professional career in higher education and academic research.
USAMV CN is an accredited Institution Organizing Doctoral Studies (IOSUD), comprising two doctoral schools:
Doctoral programs are available in both full-time and part-time formats, and annual admission sessions are organized in accordance with legal provisions, for both tuition-free (state-funded) and tuition-based positions, as well as positions funded from other sources.
The IOSUD is managed by the Council for Doctoral University Studies (CSUD).
The Director of CSUD holds a status equivalent to that of a Vice-Rector.
