Students

The University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Cluj-Napoca is the successor of the prestigious Higher School of Agriculture of Cluj, founded in October 1869, under the name of Institute of Agronomic Studies, Cluj-Manastur. In 1906, the Institute reached the Academy level, becoming the Academy of Agriculture of Cluj.

STUDENT AND SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

• the identification and exploitation of the social and economical development opportunities of the university;
• the identification of the necessary resources in order to promote and develop the social dialogue and the active engagement of the university in the local, regional and national community life.

The student objectives of the Student and Social Council are:

• the increase of the quality of the distinctive services provided to the students;
• the diversification of the service offer provided to the students;
• students’ participation in the elaboration and the implementation of the decisions regarding the services and the amenities provided to the students;
• the attunement and the promotion of the scientific, cultural, sporting and ethical values within the regional, national and international community.

Education

Our university uses in the assessment of students’ activity, for all specializations, the European Credits Transfer System – ECTS. (European Credit Transfer System).

Scholarships

The scholarships represent financial aids awarded to the USAMV undergraduate, master and PhD full-time students registered for both the budget places and for the places for which they have to pay a tuition fee, based on the certain criteria.
